The Missing webOS Apps – What’re Yours?

webOS has made significant strides over the last year in the quality and quantity of apps available in the App Catalog. Obviously, though, it has a ways to go—with over 200,000 apps in Apple’s App Store and over 50,000 apps in the Android Market, webOS is suffering from the weight of sheer numbers.

However, there are really only a handful of mainstream apps from major developers that are still missing. I’ve included a list below (and please let me know if I’ve included any that shouldn’t be).

  1. Shazam
  2. Stanza
  3. Kindle
  4. B&N eReader
  5. Audible
  6. Skype
  7. Dragon Dictation
  8. Epicurious
  9. Photoshop.com Mobile
  10. Documents to Go (latest news as of 5/4/2010 is that Docs to Go is "on hold")
  11. Mint.com
  12. Google Earth
  13. RedLaser
  14. CNN Mobile
  15. NBA Mobile
  16. MLB At Bat

Leave a comment with the app(s) that you’d most like to see on webOS.

An upgraded video player similar to media player remix would be nice.

  2. Hootsuite! (Twitter app) And we’re still “under review”. They won’t make an app until they know there will be good support for WebOS.

Oh, and if I have to pick off the list, I’d like a Mint app please. :)

I would LOVE to see a sparkpeople.com app! I believe BB may be the only system on board with it.

  4. Documents to Go DEFINITELY, sooo miss D2G from previous Palm OS’s :( (( What is the hold up?

  5. - Fritz!App
    - Skype
    - ICQ

  6. As a longtime Palm app user, I NEED to know. WebOS…I’m a fan. But any progress on this topic since a year has now passed? I have a vested interest as I now love my recently acquired Palm Pre 2…

WebOS Developers! PLEASE more high quality apps!!
