AT&T Loves webOS

With all the rumors swirling around the iPhone and other carriers (e.g., Verizon) and with AT&T seemingly doing a decent job of selling Palm devices, one wonders just how AT&T feels about HP/Palm and webOS. Apparently, AT&T Mobility CEO Ralph de la Vega has some thoughts on the matter:

I think they have the opportunity to make the premier OS.”

AT&T mobility CEO Ralph de la Vega on Hewlett-Packard which recently acquired Palm and its webOS operating system.

At yesterday’s Brainstorm TECH conference, HP/Palm gave away Palm Pre+ smartphones and AT&T service. Coupled with Sprint’s recent negative statements about Palm, it makes one wonder if AT&T might not be the leading candidate for the next-gen webOS device.
