Yes, RIM Really Does Just Mimic webOS with the PalmPad

I’ve heard people complaining about RIM ripping off webOS for its cards-style multitasking on the PalmPad. Seeing it in action in this Engadget video, however, really has my blood pumping. I mean, a commentator even says “You’re just tossing the  cards away” as the guy mimics webOS in flicking the cards up to close them. Not to mention the swipe-up gesture to minimize the running app and go to card view.

HP-Palm, I’m big on competing on merits and not in the courtroom. But you guys have a patent on this—enforce it, will you? Please?
