webOS has made significant strides over the last year in the quality and quantity of apps available in the App Catalog. Obviously, though, it has a ways to go—with over 200,000 apps in Apple’s App Store and over 50,000 apps in the Android Market, webOS is suffering from the weight of sheer numbers.

Update 11/2/2010: Surprisingly, or perhaps not, there isn’t a single app that’s made the leap from not-yet-available to available. There are two reasons for that, of course. First, some of the required APIs, such as for the microphone and camera, are still AWOL and awaiting the release of webOS 2.0 (presumably, and even this hasn’t yet been confirmed).
