It’s fun to watch HP CTO and the webOS community’s favorite tech guru Phil McKinney on the panel “Perspective on the Mobile Revolution,” even if only to see him hold up his hand when the panel is asked who’s using a Palm phone. The audience’s reaction is also interesting.

I’m not sure how I missed this, but Laptop Magazine selected HP CTO Phil McKinney as one of their Top 25 Most Influential People in Mobile Tech 2010. Slotting him in at #18, they had this to say about our favorite tech guru:

I came across an interesting blog post, written in March of this year by HP’s own Phil McKinney, on how best to time the release of innovative technology. It’s a fascinating read for anyone who wants to better understand HP’s thinking in terms of, say, the release of a webOS tablet. It also demonstrates why such decisions are rarely easily made.

Twitter user @MarkatHP (none other than Mark Budgell, PR Manager at HP) posted a couple of pictures of HP’s CTO Phil McKinney holding (and wearing?) three different mystery devices.
