According to Engadget, a document is circulating that allegedly shows a variety of smartphones, including the Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus, available with pre-paid plans at Verizon. No pricing is available, and the document’s veracity hasn’t been confirmed, but it’s interesting nonetheless.
Update: Twitter user @Nergal2 points out that the “3G Smartphone” row header doesn’t actually indicate...

Precentral is reporting that Verizon has released webOS 1.4.5 for Pixi Plus users. Pre Plus users are out of luck, and the update is nowhere to be seen for AT&T users either.
The release notes are the same as for the Sprint release. No new surprises, and remember that not all PDK apps have been ported to the Pixi platform (including the favorite of many, Angry Birds).

Precentral.net has reported that the Pixi is just fine as a gaming machine, following the webOS 1.4.5 update that enables PDK apps on the diminutive smartphone. This must be, hands down, the smallest and cutest mobile gaming platform on the market.

According to this post at the ZDNet blog, Verizon is allowing Palm Pre and Pixi owners to turn on the mobile hotspot feature for free. If true, then that along with their new pricing of $49 for the Pre Plus and $29 for the Pixi Plus should seriously increase sales.
