Precentral is reporting that Verizon has released webOS 1.4.5 for Pixi Plus users. Pre Plus users are out of luck, and the update is nowhere to be seen for AT&T users either.
The release notes are the same as for the Sprint release. No new surprises, and remember that not all PDK apps have been ported to the Pixi platform (including the favorite of many, Angry Birds).

Yes, it would appear so. HP’s CTO of Gaming and general webOS cheerleader is apparently running an early access version of webOS 1.4.5 on AT&T. How do we know?

Precentral.net has reported that the Pixi is just fine as a gaming machine, following the webOS 1.4.5 update that enables PDK apps on the diminutive smartphone. This must be, hands down, the smallest and cutest mobile gaming platform on the market.

If you haven’t already downloaded webOS 1.4.5 on your Sprint device, then go ahead and open the Updates app and get ‘er done. Only some small changes overall, but of course 1.4.5 enables sandboxed third-party PDK apps. Hopefully, we’ll see an avalanche of new PDK apps soon competing for the prizes available in the Palm PDK Hot Apps contest.
